After Victoria’s worst-ever recorded bushfire season, Grocon was contracted by Bushfire Recovery Victoria to clean-up 800+ properties across 1.2 million hectares.

"We were very happy with the work undertaken by Struber and their agile working style that adapted to an evolving fast paced environment."

Tara McDonald
Stakeholder Engagement Manager

Struber developed a three-phased Communications Management Plan to respond to each of the project phases, from establishment through to completion.

We facilitated collaboration between Grocon and Bushfire Recovery Victoria to develop Lines to Take messaging, proactive communication opportunities and formal complaints and issues management processes to support Grocon and Bushfire Recovery Victoria to maintain a strong reputation in critical emergency recovery.

Our three-phased plan involved setting dedicated objectives for each phase of the project.

It supported provision of regular good news stories to maintain Bushfire Recovery Victoria and Grocon’s reputation and keep the community informed of positive progress.

Items and materials developed include:
  • Lines to Take register and process
  • Queries and complaints procedure
  • Proactive EDM development and MailChimp database set-up
  • Weekly reports
  • Issues and media management.

Struber applied strategy and structure to the communications and engagement requirement for Grocon’s critical bushfire clean-up project.

We delivered proactive tools and processes to support responses to frequently arising issues and raise community awareness.

We worked with 6 project managers across three Local Government Areas to deliver consistent messaging to more than 800 property owners, together with Councils and Elected Representatives.
